Water & Ink: Creative Writing Workshop Offerings
About: Water & Ink Workshops are heart-centered spaces with MFA level expertise, healing, and accessibility as its scaffolding. Writing is a tool between mind and body. When we tell our stories (in the genre we choose) a deep medicine emerges from our pens. Our true voices are our compass toward greater liberation. Freedom begins within. Together, we will open.
Come find your pearl. Let it shine.
Memoir, poetry, fiction, and nonfiction all offer their own tools with gems for us to unearth! Give yourself a chance to play in each of them!
TRANSFORM & DISCOVER: Enter into the sacred alchemy of creation and community in Transform & Discover: A Healing Workshop that combines spiritual tools with the art of writing as you transform your life and discover your authentic voice on the page.
TAKING FLIGHT: The caged bird sings because she knows she is free. Come experience the healing power of letting your story fly freely. When we honor where we have been, we create an artifact that grounds us, but no longer weighs the body down. It’s time to put your story down on the page so that you can spread your wings.
CLIMBING DOWN THE LADDER
Are you ready to go deeper into your genre? Poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction options are offered on a rotating basis in Climbing down the Ladder: Craft Workshop. This is a space to connect with other creatives and explore the depths of the page together over the course of 4 weeks. Also includes personal feedback on your work from the instructor.
LIGHTHOUSE: LEADING FROM WAVES TO PAGE
In this workshop, learn how to swivel the light of your life onto the water and illuminate your beautiful foundation for others to learn from on the page. If you are an elder, an expert, and/or someone who is ready to tell their story and share their wisdom, this is the workshop for you!
“Everything we create must ultimately be with attention & care for the Self. The process of writing is like skimming the surface of a body of water—before being plunged, met by its unknown depths. All that which is within us is invited to crest, take shape, and break through.”
